Webcomics Talk
Just shouting this post out to the Webcomics group.
Hi, my name is Anthony Fontana (comicSpace here, 5 page preview for my graphic novel here).
I'm an Instructor at Bowling Green State University and this semester I'm teaching a class called "Innovating the Comic Strip". We are looking at comics theory by Mr. Scott McCloud, Neil Cohn, and taking a lot of our readings from the Webcomics Examiner.
For fun... I've always liked Tatsuya Ishida's Sinfest, all the cool stuff at ReneeFrench.com, PBF (already linked from this group), Neil Swaab and a million other webcomics I don't know where to start.
I was the writer for an experimental webcomic, Spliff & Shade, with artist Jaysin Osterkamp which was hosted by www.popculturechaos.com in 2004 and will see print later this year as a minicomic. I'll share one with you here.
If you're into podcasts, check out the Indie Spinner Rack cast by Charlito and Mr. Phil. Entertaining (downright goofy) and Informative (downright Educational and Inspiring!) these guys are great and I can't recommend it enough. Covering Indie and Web Comics via podcast since '05.
This linkfest is now over.
